Copyright, Licensing and Open Access

1. Open Access Statement

The International Journal of Business, Arts and Scientific Study (IJBASS) is a fully open-access journal. All articles are freely available to read, download and share from the moment of publication. There is no subscription charge, no registration requirement, no paywall and no embargo period of any kind.

This policy follows the definition of open access set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative: users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.

2. Copyright

Authors retain full copyright in their work. IJBASS does not require any transfer or assignment of copyright as a condition of publication. On acceptance, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, distribute and archive the article, and to deposit its metadata with Crossref, indexing services and preservation networks.

Because copyright remains with the authors, they are free, without seeking permission from the journal, to:

• deposit any version of the article in an institutional or subject repository, immediately and without embargo;
• post the article on a personal or departmental website, a preprint server or a scholarly network;
• include the article, in whole or in part, in a thesis, dissertation or subsequent book;
• reuse figures, tables and text in their own later work;
• distribute copies for teaching purposes.

Authors are asked to cite the published version, including its DOI, whenever the work is reused in these ways.

3. Licence

All articles published in IJBASS are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

Under this licence, any person is free to:

• Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
• Adapt — remix, transform and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially.

These freedoms are granted on one condition: attribution. Users must give appropriate credit to the original authors, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made. They may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the authors or the journal endorse them or their use.

The full text of the licence is available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. The licence applies to the article itself; it does not override the rights of third parties in material reproduced within the article under permission.

4. Third-Party Material

Where an article reproduces figures, tables, photographs, extended quotations or other material in which copyright is held by a third party, it is the author's responsibility to obtain written permission from the rights holder before submission, and to ensure that the permission extends to open-access publication under CC BY 4.0. The source must be acknowledged in the caption or text. Where a rights holder will not permit CC BY reuse, the material must be clearly marked as excluded from the article's licence.

5. Article Processing Charges

Publication in IJBASS is supported by an article processing charge, payable only after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review. The charge plays no part in the editorial decision, and editors are not informed of a paper's payment status while it is under consideration.

There are no submission fees, no page charges and no colour figure charges. Waivers and discounts are available on request to authors who lack funding; applications should be made at submission to editor@ijbassbd.com and are decided independently of the editorial process.

6. How to Cite and Reuse

Each article's landing page displays a recommended citation, the DOI and the licence under which it is published. Machine-readable licensing information is included in the Crossref metadata deposited for every article, so that the terms of reuse travel with the record into indexing and discovery services.
